His trajectory took a pivotal turn when he received an E-MU SP12 sampler as a gift from house and freestyle legend Todd Terry. With this tool, Spinna became a defining producer during the “backpack era” of 90s underground hip hop, making waves with his groups Jigmastas and Polyrhythm Addicts.
